The wonderfully talented neonbliss made me this icon on request, and it goes so very well with what I'm writing...

Yes, that's right, having been a good girl and written the story that everyone voted for, I am now being thoroughly perverse and pig-headed and writing the story that nobody voted for... well, nobody except meril, and she's not even in the fandom, she was just being nice to me.

The icons with Jack Bristow and the Fifth Doctor are actually a bit of cross-fandom insanity on my part: the Jack icon has a quote from Doctor Who and the Fifth Doctor icon has a quote from Alias. Since they both ended up wearing glasses in a scene where they had to do surgery (Jack in "Breaking Point" and the Doctor in "Frontios"), it seemed appropriate...

And I'm sure heidi8 will recognize the lyrics I used for the Weiss icon, if nobody else does.

Because I suspect I'm going to be blathering about Scherzo for a long time to come... and now I'm absolutely dying to know what happens next.

Because I've just edited IWS 7 and came across this bit:

And it reminded me of how much I lurve me some Alastor, plus this is probably the HP illustration of mine I like best, so why not?

Got a couple of new icons, thanks to a bit of playing with a digital camera borrowed from work.

My new default icon is tribute to the fact that one of the main reasons I'm not inclined toward writing Hermione fic is because I was Hermione for most of my childhood. And I've still got the frizzy brown hair and the book obsession and the tendency to lapse into insufferable pedantry, so -- even now, writing about her would be too much like self-insertion. But I do like her.

The other two icons are of my kids -- one of them I'm using on this post and the other will show up soon, I'm sure. They were just too cute not to brag about -- the kids, I mean, not the icons. Although I did try. :)

New TAR4 tonight! Who will be Philiminated... next? (Actually, I'm betting it's a non-elimination round. They've got to get through two more of the things, and there are only four teams left, so...)

Because I.S. Jin did me a gorgeous illustration in honour of the recent revision I did to The Potions Master's Apprentice, and I just had to colour and iconify it. Thanks, ISJ!

I was having rather a dull day, and then all of a sudden I got two unexpected pieces of feedback for D&L, both of which were greatly appreciated and one of which nearly reduced me to tears, but I cannot write the person back to tell them what it meant to me because they did not put their e-mail address in their profile. Wah! But otherwise, yay! Because it really was amazing.

In other news, I have finally broken down and made a Clay Aiken icon. With an HP twist, because I blame firelocks for dragging me on board the Clay Train in the first place, and also because he really does look like a Weasley to me. Plus, well, it's a great picture. If you like skinny geek-boys, anyway.

I have been using my new Margot Snape icon for a couple of days now, forgetting to mention that the sketch is the work of the inimitable lizbee. Thanks, Liz!

Because I have a spiffy new John Wood icon. And no, the assessment isn't mine (though I agree) -- it's an Ally Sheedy quote from WARGAMES, from which this pic was taken. Now this is more like Snape should look, IMO.

Icons! I love icons! I also love the kids' naptime, because it means I can make... more icons!
