A beautiful portrait of Maud, taken from a larger pic of Maud and Snape together which I also like very much (especially the trippy look on Snape's face -- I mean, clearly that Hair Thing has become a serious addiction).

Then there's my secondary OC's, Jennet Peachtree and the irrepressible Imogen Crump.

And finally, appropriately enough considering my previous post, it's the Snapelets. I never thought of giving Margot this particular hairstyle, but now that I've seen it... it's awfully tempting.

Check out more by the same artist -- if you're into Tonks/Remus, for instance, it's a positive feast.

And just when I thought my week couldn't get any better, I got an e-mail alerting me to a new gallery of D&L illustrations by [livejournal.com profile] sannalim:

  • Trilogy cover
  • The Potions Master's Apprentice cover
  • Personal Risks cover
  • If We Survive cover

aaand it's the Snapelets all over again! Snape Family Portrait

Seriously, I am overwhelmed. Thank you both very, very much. Wow!

Glad you liked it! I never can decide which one of those I like best. I'd been wanting to draw that particular scene for "If We Survive" ever since the time I first read it--Snape in stylin' Muggle clothes, how could I not?

Wonderful pictures all around - thanks for linking to them! Malcolm in the first Snapelets pic, though (and the second one too, somewhat) looks incredibly like my mental image of Miles Vorkosigan - no wonder I like him so much :)

    Absolutely gorgeous. *stares*

Not sure I can cope with a world where Malcolm is that good-looking, though...

I'm not sure I can cope with a Malcolm modelled on Jeremy Northam, which is how he struck me. But phwoar! I'm not complaining. :)

What do you think? Should I give Margot that haircut? Like I said, it's tempting...

I was too entranced by Rickmanesque!Albion to even notice...

I'm torn... On the one hand, I've always seen her with very long black hair, and that haircut isn't exactly common in the wizarding world. On the other hand, her goal to break down the barriers between the wizarding and Muggle worlds make it likely that she actually paid attention when Aunt Imogen was giving lessons on Muggle style...

Perhaps you could compromise, and say she had the haircut once, or got it later in the piece ... this fic is covering about 20 years, after all...

Yeah, I can't see Margot with that hairstyle during her Hogwarts days, or even after when she was working at the Ministry, but once she starts in with Draco and working on some Muggle connections, maybe.
