A warning, however: your mileage may vary. Our family loves it, and we all look eagerly forward to it each Christmas. Other people (such as my husband) think it tastes like some weird kind of medicine and can't believe anyone could enjoy it. So, I am not guaranteeing anything here. Also, saffron is pretty expensive (which is why we only make it once a year)...!
