I have 31,000 words done. I estimate the book will come in at 85,000 or so, possibly a bit more.

I will definitely try Write or Die soon, especially if I find I'm not making the word count I had hoped for. But I am sad that there is not an offline version that I can use on my (non-internet capable) laptop.

Well, I did go and ask for it! And I can get an extension if I need it. But having a Proper Deadline where someone else is waiting on me to supply the goods by a certain date is very motivational for me, whereas having a self-imposed goal never seems to work.
