If you're a fan of a) Peter Cushing b) Sherlock Holmes or c) Nicholas Rowe, you will probably enjoy this little interview (which dates all the way back to 1986) as much as I did. It's really quite charming.

I would also point you to my favorite Vermeer painting and comment on the uncanny resemblance, but then my brother Pete would mock me... oh, never mind. Too late.

I do not mock you! It's nice to know someone is as crazy (I mean, ahem, eccentric) as me in the Sherlock Homes/Nicholas Rowe Appreciation Society (LJ Branch).

I enjoy the video, although the interviewer seemed to be, well, mocking Rowe for being Scottish.

Cushing! I love Cushing, and he was my definitive Sherlock Holmes until I accidently watched too much Jeremy Brett. But I still flail at people claiming John Hurt as the definitive Winston Smith, yes.

As an individual of average height, I've been trying to learn to draw tall people better. Stood next to an enormously tall young man in the elevator today.... he seemed to go on and on after any sensible person would've stopped. *chuckles*
