In what seems to be a growing tradition of echoing Liz's fic recs, I have to put in a word for this brilliant (and conveniently short) story about Snape and Hagrid, two characters I've always thought had a solid relationship, perhaps even friendship (as much as Snape can be said to have friends, that is), but whom I've never seen written together before. Not only is this fic original, it's beautifully written and characterized as well. Here it is:
