As you might have guessed from the profound silence, it's been an extra-busy week around here. Why, I don't know, because it's not as though I've got a whole lot of things done. I still have e-mail piled up to the stratosphere, I haven't made any progress on any of my writing projects, I haven't even watched more TV this week than I usually do. I've read a bit (just finishing up the Miles Vorkosigan series for the second time), but only when I couldn't get anything else done. My one great triumph this week has been solving the problem we'd been having with sending e-mail by downloading and installing updated firmware for our DLink DI-604 router -- and I did that just this morning.
Where do the hours disappear to, anyway? Do they fall between the couch cushions, perhaps, and lie there in the soft darkness with a few stray raisins, assorted bits of lint, and the comb I misplaced three months ago? I almost wish -- then there might be a chance of finding them again, and actually getting some use out of them.
