(Agree that that's a bit of a harsh description of Romans, though.) :)

. . . and I was more than a little offended by the snarky comments in that description about "self-pity." When I've been through some rotten times I've always encountered more than enough people who are ready to attribute anxiety and depression to a problem with self-pity and so it's become a term that really pushes my buttons.

Please excuse my venting. ;-)

I didn't see that one, so I don't know what it says. But the book of Lamentations is not about "self-pity", anyway -- so it seems like that description is more than a little off.

And no need to apologize for venting. :)
