Which I am completing for absolutely no good reason, since Phemie's First Rule applies to all self-revelatory memes and they tend to generate few or no comments as a result, but oh well.
1. What does your first name mean?
Hebrew: "To tie or bind", possibly emblematic of the marriage bond; by metaphorical extension, "captivating".
2. What does your middle name mean?
Hebrew: "God is gracious".
3. What does your last name mean?
Birth Name: Scottish, "Son of Andrew". Married Name: German, and I have absolutely no idea.
4. So what does your name mean when put together?
The captivating one who demonstrates God's grace to the sons of Andrew?
5. What would you have been named if you were the opposite gender?
Philip, I think.
6. Any other name oddities?
When I was little, I didn't know anyone else who had my name, but everybody seemed to know how to spell it without being told. Now, there are all kinds of little girls running around with my name, yet I am continually having to tell people, "one 'b', two 'c's." It's amazing how many people want to spell it with two 'b's. Yuck.
7. Do you like your name?
Yes. Considering that the alternative was "Nancy", a name I loathe, it makes me even happier that I've got this one.
8. What do you like best about it?
It's Jewish, it's Biblical, I like the Hebrew original just as much as the Greek/English version. Some of my friends even call me by the Hebrew form. It's common enough that I can readily find personalized stuff if I want it, but not so common that I don't feel like an individual.
9. What do you like least about it?
The hideous way it looks when people spell it with two b's.
10. If you HAD to change your name (witness protection program, whatever), what would you want it to be?
Probably Rachael. It's close enough to my real name for me to live with.
