I loved the Linden Flower sachets from L'Occitane en Provence (before they went and discontinued them, darn it!) and so I'm automatically pleased with this choice. ;-)
It's a lovely name, especially if you've heard the poem "In Linden Lea" sung to music by Ralph Vaughn Williams. I wanted to name a future daughter after the poem/piece, but Mr. Bill says no, so I gave the name to one of the characters in my girl's school story, instead.
You probably know this already, but lindenwood was the traditional material used in the construction of shields back during the 9th/10th century (by the Anglo Saxons).
For all I know this may have inspired your choice (and if so I apologize for patronizing you) but I thought it was worth mentioning in case it is thematically relevant for your character.

The real name of the song is "Under the Linden Tree".
It has totally corrupted my brain.
