My Number is Up...

The judge I got for the fangs_fur_fey hook contest was kinder than I'd expected, but still -- my hook was too vague.

Well, I really wasn't ready to submit my first five pages anyway (especially since I'm still working on the first draft). And I have a much better idea now of what specific parts of the hook need to be clarified and expanded, so even though I didn't make it to Round 2, I can still feel that entering the contest was not in vain.
