I just went and looked at my User Info and there are 200 people on my "Also Friend of" list! I feel all warm and fuzzy now.

However, it occurs to me that I don't know anything about many of you, which is kind of embarrassing. So... if you'd like to leave a comment to this message telling me a little bit about yourself and what brought you here, that would be nifty.

So you're a synaesthete? Nifty! There's a researcher in a town very close to where I live who is one of the world's foremost authorities on synaesthesia: I keep meaning to read his books, because the whole idea just fascinates me endlessly.

I have an uncle from Finland, with a good Finnish last name -- Luoma.
