November seems to be a popular month... hope you have a wonderful day, [livejournal.com profile] penwiper26!

Elsewhere, last week's episode of "House" has given me a slew of mad fic bunnies, and I have also had Chase and Cameron's bow-chicka-bow-bow music (otherwise known as "Crystalline Green" by Goldfrapp, apparently) running through my head for the last forty-eight hours... which would be all right if it had more than one riff, but it doesn't. Agh.

Last week's "Lost" did not give me bunnies of any kind, probably because the Kate/Sawyer/Jack pill-taking scene was pure hurt/comfort crackfic already, but I enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing Locke and Eko enjoy any number of spare, cryptic conversations in future... and was that a spark of angsty chemistry between Ana-Lucia and Sayid? (I sure hope not on the latter, because I really don't like A-L much, and furthermore, Shannon just died so ew. But I couldn't help seeing something in that last look they gave each other before Sayid went to get Shannon's body... and yes, [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63, I will accept that she's really dead now and the writers weren't just messing with us *g*.)

So much Christmas baking, so little time. Sigh.

Speaking of House bunnies---last night, I started an eyes-only Housefic in which Odette pays a visit to the PPTH clinic. CRACK!

How do you feel about real fruitcake? My friend is starting on her annual fc binge, which this year includes:
60 oz raisins
60 oz golden raisins
30 oz currants
12oz citron & lemon peel
9 oz apricots
16 oz dried cherries
all soaked in brandy.
Mmmmm. Her fruitcake is to die for. She's also the founder of The Society For the Protection & Preservation of Fruitcake.
Naomi looking forward to a slice.

I love fruitcake, actually. Dunno why it's so vilified, unless we're talking about the really hard, dry stuff -- but that's like swearing off all hamburgers on the basis that McDonalds' burgers are awful.
