So where are the cool kids submitting HP fics these days?
I've done my duty by Fiction Alley, of course, and eventually I'll probably get around to putting this fic up at the Pit of Voles, just for the sake of those who have me on Author Alert. The Sugar Quill is no longer an option, alas, but I'm open to other suggestions as to where I should put this "Secrets and Lies" thing so that people who've read and liked the Darkness and Light trilogy (and hey, even some who haven't) would be likely to see it...

"Do you ever feel like you're back in juinor high, being asked to account for why you told your friend the nasty rumours your other friends were spreading? I guess in some ways, especially amoung us women, we never really leave that phase. We just think of more sophisticated ways of doing it than passing a note in math class, with instructions to make sure a certain person doesn't see it."
Re: Speaking of being out of the loop...
Date: 2005-11-17 02:20 pm (UTC)The whole thing basically boiled down to "Being on the Quill is a special privilege, and if you have the eggs to question anything we do or say or intimate that our policies or moderatorial decisions might ever be unfair -- even if you do so outside the Quill in your own LiveJournal -- we'll toss you out on your ear without notice." Which is, of course, within their rights -- it's their site -- but when this policy is extended to the friends and acquaintances of those so blacklisted, it starts to get more than a little ridiculous... and that's pretty much why I left SQ.
