Scarily true. I saw the abridged Lost they showed on the Saturday before the finale aired, and there was actually a narrator asking questions, like "You are on an island with survivors of a plane crash. You do not speak English - or do you?" Which wasn't an actual quote but I can't remember actual quotes. I stumbled across it while channel-surfing and watched because I missed most of the season due to class.
