Since reading your series of Who fics, I've been wanting to see the show and see what all the hoopla is about. (Can you believe I never heard of Dr. Who before I saw your Who fics?) Anyway, I watched "Rose" yesterday and enjoyed it, however, I was a little lost not knowing much about the show, so thanks for the links. They help. I'm looking forward to additional eps.

Ooh! That's very cool. Actually I've heard that the version floating around on the net is still a "rough cut" and that the finished version is somewhat different/better, but I guess I'll have to wait until the Real Proper Broadcast Date to find out if that's really the case.

Also, you are awesome for reading my fics even though you'd never even heard of the show. Thanks. :D

Interesting article in SFX. The Doctor can only see the big picture? Is this a new thing -- perhaps specific to this Doctor? He always used to pay attention to individuals in the past.

Hang on -- 'Rose' is floating around on the net!? Where??

Well, he did and he didn't. Even in his "most sensitive" incarnation, the Fifth, he often overlooked the way his companions were feeling and one of the other companions had to go and point it out to him. I think the writers of the new series are just emphasizing that aspect of his alienness a bit more.

As for finding "Rose" online, most of the torrent sites have it by now. But I'm led to understand that the soundtrack on the leaked version is not the same as on the finished product, and that there may be added/deleted scenes. So I think I'll download it again when the "official" premiere comes out.
