After reading the latest round of ALIAS spoilers (which really don't say that much, at least not directly), I have just come up with the World's Most Evil Theory about Sloane. I haven't yet been able to think of anything from past eps that could prove it wrong, and I've thought of quite a few otherwise perplexing things that would be explained by it.

Of course, now I'm dying to toss this around with somebody and I can't find any other ALIAS fen online. Where's [livejournal.com profile] avarill when you need her? Wah!

Irina. As of about the second or third ep this season she's become my favorite female character on the show, and now Jack/Irina is my favorite 'ship, as well...

Hi. Love the icon. I too love Irina, the little devil that she is. Also the whole Jack/Irina relationship is intriguing.

I love YOUR icon -- very cool. And it reminds me... I think it's the neatest little casting trick that Sydney and Jack look alike. They even have the same teacup-handle ears! That's one of the reasons I refuse to believe any theory that suggests anyone but Jack could be Sydney's dad. :)

Syd actually looks like she could be their daughter, it's amazing.

I love Alias. Had a short conversation with someone else about why I liked it so much more than 24, and it's simply the characters. They're all great, and have depth that I don't get (for the most part) from the characters in 24 (Kim needs to die--worst character EVER).

At first I wasn't too keen on Irina's intro. The trustful/liar see-saw was a bit heavy handed for me, but I'm very pleased to see how it's all weighed now. I think the best appearance this season has to be Faye Dunaway, who was just frightening to look at and such a nasty character.

And after initial annoyance, I rather like Marshall, so I have to check in for the extremely unlikely pairing of Sydney/Marshall. ;) Though some sort of reconcile/understanding between Irina and Jack I would love.

(Holy cow, I didn't realize that was Amy Irving as Emily!)

I know what you mean about 24. I'm watching it this season (didn't watch it at all last season) and enjoying the plot twists, but I really don't find myself compelled by any of the characters. (And you are SO right about Kim.) Whereas with ALIAS it really is all about the characters -- they're *all* really well developed.

Face Doneaway (thank you, Television Without Pity) was pretty scary with her immobile upper lip -- I can't say I'm sorry to see her gone. But soon we get Rutger Hauer! Woo!

I totally adore Marshall. I've loved him ever since last season. I don't want to write him a romance fic or anything, but I just live for his funny little speeches. Weiss is a treat, too. I'm so glad to see him again.

Why are more people not totally hooked on this show? I seriously thought all of the X-FILES fans would have jumped over to ALIAS by now...

Well, I'm still here...

And still adoring Alias. I'm all about the Jack/Irina 'ship(obviously). It's more compelling for me then the Syd/Vaughn thing--simply because of the depth of the characters and their history.

I've been thinking about this a bit--Even though I'm totally on the J/I cruise, I can't figure out the logistics behind them actually getting together again. I mean, could you imagine Irina sitting down with Sydney, Jack and Vaughn for a Christmas dinner? Not going to happen.

The only way I could see it working would be if

Jack and Irina pulled a Sloane/Emily. Or some other manipulation of circumstance. I don't see the CIA letting Irina out anytime soon.

The above was cut in case there are those who haven't yet seen Sunday's ep. :)

Thoughts?

Okay, apparently...

LJ doesn't want to work right for me tonight. :(
