Oh, indeed. The first part of the trailer made me go "cool. . .COOL. . .COOOL" but when Harry yelled "EXPECTO PATRONUM" I literally shuddered. Amazing stuff. Dan Radcliffe has come into his own.
Oh, and since I know that you and angua9 rarely interact, I thought you might be interested in seeing this icon I made for her last night:
(The text is by Angua. Except for the "in other words-- Dead Sexy" part. :P
I confess to sharing the puzzlement of whoever it was I saw ask what he was doing with a projector screen, though. (Better yet, he seems to have conjured it?) Now, Lockhart would do shadow puppets, I can just see that. Snape, no. ;)
He makes it sound like turning to page 394 should be followed by "If you dare," or "I hate you all," or possibly, "and you will never suggest the Care of Magical Creatures textbook is dangerous again."
Ooh, and Dumbledore Being Deadly Serious.
...I can't quite escape the uneasy impression, however, that the Dementor's head is a veiled lightbulb.
I keep forgetting that I have DSL now, and therefore can actually watch stuff like this without the clip cutting out halfway through or whatever else kept going wrong with audio and video on my old computer....
Yes, now having seen it: The trailer looks very good. The "page 394" line is well-presented, but especially so for those who recall what exactly the class was going to be studying on page 394 (and why that particular text was chosen at that particular time). The final "Expecto Patronum" line works very well for the ending of a trailer, although I'm less sure how well it will work in the actual film.
My one regret about it is that (unless I somehow missed it on both viewings) they didn't actually show Prof. Lupin in the Dementors-on-the-train scene.
