I was an S/V shipper, too, in the beginning. And some part of me does hope that season 3 corrects the problems with Vaughn's character.
But, I'm on the Jack/Irina OTP train now(as you well know ;)). I'll spare you the whys and wherefores because this really isn't a comparision post.
But I do want to say something here. When I ship, I tend to ship characters that I see as being compatible for the 'long haul', if you know what I mean. John/Delenn. Mulder/Scully.
I used to think that Syd/Vaughn was a 'long haul' couple. They may still be, I don't know. But I found myself wanting to smack the both of them in season 2. Hmmm...I think this went off on a little tangent.
