The publishing oracle has spoken...

...and it looks like the book formerly known as Touching Indigo will be known henceforth, in both its UK (Orchard Books, Summer 2011) and its US (Carolrhoda Lab, Fall 2011) editions, as...

(dun-DUN)

Ultraviolet.

I'm still getting used to it, but I think that my editors are right in saying that this is a more dynamic title which will have broader appeal, and also makes sense within the context of the book.

And just WAIT until you see the UK cover. They're still working on the design and copy and it'll be a while before I have anything final to post, but the sample I've seen is really beautiful and I'm very excited about it!

I found Wayfarer in my local bookstore the other day. I wanted to get it so bad, but money hates me right now so I have to wait. As soon as I can find another job and pay a few bills, then I might get a chance to persue my passion of eventually owning all of my favorite books and also the ones that intrigue me.

Also, I just wanted to say that I guess it is kind of neat about your title. Personally, I liked "Touch Indigo" as a title better, but I haven't read the book yet, so maybe "Ultraviolet" is the title that the book should really be. Guess I'll never really know until I read it though, huh. Can't wait.
