Things I have learned over the past few weeks from my three-year-old son Nicholas:

  • There are dragons living in the deepest, darkest caves of America. They breathe vegetable fire.
  • Our downstairs tenant is really Batman.
  • We are all living in Simon's house (which makes me wonder how my 18-month-old plans to pay off the mortgage).
  • It's never daytime in Chicago.
