Heroes 1x17: "Company Man" (yes, a day earlier than the US! w00t!)
Oh.
My.
Word.
I am sitting here in front of the screen crying like a big fat baby. I love HRG so much right now. "Go deep. Take anything that might lead them to her." Oh, HRG, HRG. *sob*
And Mrs. Bennet! Who would have thought she'd be responsible for delivering the Speech of Spiritual Awesome? I love her too.
Also, Ecclescake all young and cleanshaven and floppy-haired and brimming with idealism (no wonder he mocked Peter!) = fantastic.
And Matt being the new HRG sidekick! SUDDENLY HE HAS A PLOT AND IT IS BEYOND COOL. Were they setting him up for this all along with the boring backstory, or did it just occur to them along the way? In either case, I heartily approve.
I still don't know exactly what Eric Roberts in all his creepy splendor, and therefore HRG & Co., were/are actually up to. Just tagging and tracing heroes, and/or disposing of those who posed too great a threat to society? But it does seem that they somehow augment the heroes' powers in the process of studying them. Why? And what are they going to do now that they can't wipe their memories any more? Hmm...
I am going to miss the Bennet family home. Actually, I'm just going to miss the Bennet family, period. Boo hoo!
I really wish I had Hiro's powers so I could go forward in time to next week already.

Okay, this comment turned into a long post so I'm moving it to my journal. :~p
I'm going to be at a conference next week, so I have to program my VCR to tape it. Eep!

Favorite episode so far. I've had a soft spot for Bennet for a while, but I think I am now officially his fangirl.
What a devastating ending!
Otherwise: what you said. :-)
And I can't wait for the next episode.

(It didn't register how much young!Claude was looking like Peter there, but OMG yes.)
Also, OMG Hiro's dad (and little Hiro)! And what's going to happen to Claire now? But yeah, mainly with the bawling.

According to the online comic, the Haitian can take away memories but leave emotions so I wonder if he took them but left the love/warm fuzzy feelings? Next week can't come soon enough but they're taking another break. arrrgghh...

Maybe it isn't so much that they augment them, but the process of studying them stimulates the powers. After all, it does seem that the more a power is used, the person is getting practice and getting better at it.
And what are they going to do now that they can't wipe their memories any more?
Kill people, I expect.
One thing I like about Heroes is that there isn't just one villain, and that the "good" people can end up being at cross-purposes to each other.
