Nope, still haven't had the baby yet. Am now at 39 weeks 2 days.
Midwife's appointment this morning went well (once I found my car keys, which Nicholas and Simon between them had contrived to misplace at the most inconvenient possible time, but that's a whole 'nuther story) -- baby still in the right position, well down, strong heartbeat. No other way to tell if it's coming sooner or later, but I took a long walk last night that felt as though it were doing something, so if the weather clears maybe I'll do the same tonight.
Have had two pretty decent nights of sleep in a row, in spite of the Song of Evil still intermittently running through my head. Fortunately it now alternates with "Teardrop" (otherwise known as the theme from "House M.D."), which is much more bearable.
And this morning I cleaned both bathrooms and bought groceries for the week plus some convenient freezer meals. You can come now, baby! I'm all ready! Really!
