Not for Nicholas's pinkeye, since I'd already done that -- it's cleared up nicely with the drops. But after a week and a half of The Cold That Never Ends (as I said to somebody the other day, it's the first infection I've ever had that comes with its own theme song -- "Fool If You Think It's Over"), and the beginnings of a nasty earache, I decided I needed to Do Something.
I spent an hour and a half sitting in the after-hours clinic, since our family doctor is off Wednesdays, and walked out with a prescription for antibiotics. Strep of some kind, apparently. Whee!
But on a positive note, the doctor said that once I started taking the meds I'd probably feel much better within a couple of days. That would be nice... and then maybe I can get some decent writing done.
