I am terribly, terribly confused. And, as Dora the Explorer would say, "I need your help!"

What I would like to do, if possible, is find a way so that I can separate my fandom and blog-related e-mail -- the stuff that's meant for "R. J. Anderson" -- from my RL family and friends e-mail that's meant for "[Hubby or Me RealName]". At present, I have a single e-mail address which receives mail forwarded from three different pobox.com aliases (rja, [RealName], and synaesthete), which is fine in itself -- I like the idea of everything coming to the same Inbox. Only I'd like to be able to choose, when I reply to a given e-mail, whether the "From" line on my replies reads "R. J. Anderson" or "[RealName]". That way I don't have to "out" my real identity to strangers, as I am unfortunately doing at the moment every time I send an e-mail.

Is there any way to do this? I know about creating separate Identities in Outlook, but if I do that, then I have to remember that every time I check my mail I must log on as [RealName], check the mail for that Identity, reply to the mail for that Identity, then log off and log on again as R.J. Anderson to read the other stuff. And there's no way I can move a misdirected e-mail from one Identity to another after it's been received (at least, not that I know of). So I'd rather not do that.

Any suggestions?

Of course I screwed up all the questions that had to do with a) gaming; and b) math. Still, for a lit-geek, the score's not half bad.
