(no subject)

Well, I've just seen avarill to the airport after a pleasant five-day visit (which would no doubt have been considerably nicer for her had she not sprained her ankle a few days before).

It was a rather busy few days for me, too, what with speaking to the women's group on Thursday morning, attending our chapel's annual Christmas dinner on Friday night, choir practice on Sunday morning and two performances at our Christmas carol service on Sunday evening, but everything went smoothly, thank the Lord.

Now I just have a few more presents to buy (and a lot more to wrap), two little stockings to fill with assorted goodies, Alaskan Shortbread and Steamed Carrot Pudding to make for our family Christmas dinner, two more choir practices and the Sunday School Christmas pageant to get through, and I can relax.

Well, okay, not really relax, but slow down. Sort of.

Whatever.

Oh, and by the way, my cough is finally clearing up, which means my fear that it might turn out to be that weird new strain of whooping cough seems to have been unjustified. Yay!

Oh, and there's a rather funny follow-up to my earlier post about the recent movie The Gospel of John in the LiveJournal.

All of which goes to show you should never underestimate the power of the ego-surf... especially where talented but not-especially-famous actors are involved.
