I know I haven't been posting a lot here lately, so I figured I'd give a bit of a status report to let you all know what I've been up to.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot to report because I haven't accomplished a whole lot of anything, or at least I don't seem to have much to show for it. The kids keep me pretty busy and distracted during the day, and I don't really have much of a chance to write, chat, or answer e-mail until they've gone to bed. And by then, of course, I am brain-fried and can't seem to find the energy to do anything that requires actual thought. So I've been doing some artistic stuff instead -- making LJ icons and other kinds of web graphics, and teaching myself a little bit more about Photoshop (since I don't have the time or opportunity to take a proper course) in the process.

I did just finish a story, as an early birthday present for Liz, but it's unfortunately too spoilerish for later events in the Margot fic (which still doesn't have a title!) for me to archive it anywhere. Never mind, it was pretty short and fluffy anyway. You're not missing anything unless, like Liz, you have a Thing for Albion Snape. :) And speaking of Snape, I'm also re-reading the HP books in giddy anticipation of June 21st, and making intermittent posts in my LJ when I find interesting tidbits along the way.

I'm currently studying the book of Romans -- in chapter 11 at the moment -- which seems appropriate in light of my previous post. Lots of food for thought there, to be sure...

Further bulletins as events warrant.

Last week our old computer desk chair finally died. I'd had it for ten years and it was used when I got it, so it really didn't owe me anything -- but it was a bit of a nuisance trying to find something else I could sit in on short notice. Well, I managed to get another used office chair for a reasonable price, and it seemed to be decently made and fairly ergonomically constructed -- but ever since I've been using it my back and my right arm have been killing me. I hope this is just a matter of having to get used to a new chair, and it will pass, but I admit I'm a little worried. I've done enough battling with repetitive strain injuries as it is; I don't want to give myself another one.

*puts keyboard on lap, just to see if it's any less painful that way*
Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] mctabby by way of [livejournal.com profile] lizbee. It's just too bad I don't have the brainpower to be either funny or clever with it, but oh well...

I have a trilogy. It's called Darkness and Light.
It's about truth, and courage, and love.
But really, deep down, it's all about grace.
It might also appeal to readers who aren't afraid of May/December romances.
It has: OCs, Hermione, funny bits, flashbacks, het, Snape, the Sorting Hat, present tense, angst, Draco, true love.
It doesn't have: smut, Time-Turners, spiders, Peeves, slash, cats, Lupin, grammatical errors, the Giant Squid.
It is not a WiP.
If you read it, I'll thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you don't read it, I'll be all sad and mopey.
If you read and review, I'll write you a gushing letter telling you how much I appreciate it.
And by the way, it's written under the influence of the Bible and Laurie R. King.
You can find my story here: [link]

Something like that.
