Well, for those of you bored of the old one, I've uploaded a fancy-schmancy new template. Except I suspect that it may cause problems for people with slow connections. If you haven't already gone mad waiting for the page to load, would you mind telling me what you think?

And yes, I will fix the comments box so that it matches the page, but that's for tomorrow. I'm up way past my bedtime tonight...
I've just noticed (thanks to Teri) that the content-specific banner ads at the top of this page now feature a blurb for some site about the "Antichrist Revealed". Hee. I clicked on it to find out what sort of oddity might ensue, and it turns out to be a Puritan bookseller, offering a bunch of old reprints that didn't seem to have much to do with the Antichrist, or even eschatology in general, at all. False advertising! Naughty Puritans. (Is that an oxymoron?)
Book!Harry is not allowed to be this gorgeous. I forbid it. Especially as it makes me want to buy the US version of OotP instead of the UK/Canadian edition, and that would give me an even more mismatched set of HP books than I already have (since I got stuck with the paperback edition of PS/SS), and...
Wah! It's just not right!
(goes back to look at cover again)

Hm... okay, so everybody likes the look of the new design but some people are finding the scrolling slow or worse, non-existent. Since I am a self-taught HTML grunt and know not the mysterious ways of CSS*, can somebody more savvy (Wolf? Meril? Jemima?) suggest to me what I might do to fix the Bad Scroll Problem?
Also, Leonieke says that when viewing the page in a Mozilla-based browser the links tend to "pile up" on each other. Any suggestions about fixing that problem would also be muchly appreciated.

*I did try to look this stuff up for myself on Google, but it proved to be one of those searches for which I am either using the wrong search terms, or there isn't a lot of info out there...
