And finally, an update on Dad: he's in a bit of pain now, and is (very reluctantly) taking meds for it, but apparently this is a normal part of the healing process and nothing to worry about, since there's no swelling or anything else alarming. On a positive note, he has a wheelchair and ramp now, so maybe if the weather stays decent he can go outside for a bit.
After getting the wheelchair and ramp set up last Friday, Dad was going to try and make it out to preach at Tavistock on Sunday, but in the end it turned out that there was no power at the chapel due to an overnight storm, so there were no services. Which was a mercy, really, because the weather was still awful and it just would not have made sense for Dad to go out in it, especially with a wheelchair...
