You know, I was wondering about that myself just the other day... not that I have the answer, but it's an interesting thought. Has anybody written fic about a muggleborn being sorted into Slytherin? You'd have to think that someone has, by now.
Thanks for your kind words on the story, and yes, Hermione can be quite ruthless at times. It amazes me how many Hermione fans seem to forget about the darker sides of her character, when JKR has shown us that aspect of Hermione so clearly (especially in OotP, I think).
