Apparently I enjoyed it more than you did although your points *are* well taken. I've seen it twice and will see it a couple of more times when it hits the second run cinema. It takes at least twice to see everything especially those scenes when Snape says nothing so well! The more I think about Gambon's AD the less I like him. Asserting that the script is sufficient for his purposes, he hasn't read the books, or seen the other movies, or talked to Jo.
I prefer the atmosphere of the last two movies to the first two, but Cuaron has a lot to answer for -- Gambon's AD for one thing and poor Flitwick for another. Much as I like music (even high school band music) reducing Filius to a band/chorus leader is a crime IMO. And the makeup? Eegads!
Hah! You had to express and I had to make double time to the restroom at the end of both viewings. Movie too long and me too old I guess!
