Now that is an interesting quote, and very useful for addressing the people (and I have gotten the impression that there are quite a few of them) who think that Susan's absence from Narnia is permanent and damning (literally to her in the story, and with regard to their opinion of Lewis) because they think she was on the train and died with them.
(I suspect it's bringing their parents into it that does this; if they hadn't been mentioned, it might be more generally obvious that Susan, not being involved in the trip, simply wasn't there.)
