I will forever treasure the moment that I achieved my official geek qualification: being quizzed by a couple of geeks who wanted to find out if the new girl down the hall was really worth their time. They could ask me any question they wanted to, and it turned out to be: "What do the stripes on the sides of Han Solo's pants signify?" which I answered by giggling with delight and delivering a short homily on the Imperial Academy.
...on the other hand, I sometimes can't remember why I went into a room, or where I've cunningly hidden something that I didn't want to lose track of. I think maybe the processing power that's supposed to be devoted to important things goes to maintaining fun but useless information.
