ARROW Release Date, UK Trip Schedule, and UV Status Report
I am happy to announce that today is the official UK and Ireland release date of Arrow! It should now be widely available in bookstores, and I hope my readers will like it.
***
I can also now share a little more detail about my planned trip to England at the end of this month. I'm still waiting for confirmation on a few times and locations, but I'll be splitting my time between London and the North, and the general run of events will look something like this:
I'll also be in London on 4 and 5 February, as my plane doesn't leave until the 6th -- so if there's anybody in the area who would like to get together on the Saturday (or can recommend a reasonably priced hotel in central London for me to stay in on Friday and Saturday night!) then I'd love to hear from you.
***
I am now wonderfully close to finishing my last major revision of Ultraviolet before it goes to the copyeditors and gets turned into galleys. I plan to get the final chapter written today, then spend the next three days reading it over and giving it one last polish before it's out of my hands.
And then, gentle readers, I shall collapse, because 2010 has been by far the busiest and most demanding creative year of my life. I guess that's what happens when you have a book coming out every six months in 2011/12. But it's been rewarding and enlightening, too.
Belated best wishes to everyone for a happy 2011!

Enjoy your rest. :)

Maybe Arrow will be the book that breaks me out of my obsession with matching sets...
BOOK TOUR!!! That is so exciting.

Well, the US hardcovers already don't match, and if they ever get around to publishing ARROW I suspect it'll be redesigned yet again, so... yeah. You might as well. :D

Foyles or Waterstones, Waterstones or Foyles? Can't decide...

I'm quite nervous about it, actually.

It would be awesome to meet up after having read your stuff for so long and having missed you last time you were over here. Let me know what your plans are!
I can't recommend hotels sadly - before living in London I always opted for friends' floors. My friends stayed at a lovely B&B out by Barnes Common last time they visited me, it would be about 45 mins from Central London, but easy to get to via trains - should I enquire for details?

Also, I wouldn't be a true resident of Southfields if I didn't ask whether you'd consider The Golden Treasury (http://www.thegoldentreasury.co.uk/) for a signing? They're kind of fab.

But yes, I am in and around London on the 4th and 5th and would love to put a face to the books/blog/Usenet/email.

I don't know if it's the area you want, but my family spent a week at the Best Western near Victoria Station a couple months ago. It was nice, reasonably priced, and the staff went above and beyond to help us out while we were there. Plus, it's within easy walking distance of the underground station, where there are plenty of handy restaurants and a small grocery store that's open late, in case you're wanting to pick up a few things after a long day out. It may not be the least expensive you can find, but I'd say decidedly worth it. :)

(If you do decide to stay there, though, make sure it's in the main building and not the annex. According to friends who've stayed both places there's a big difference.)

Any ideas of times for the signings? PM is more promising for sure though.

Hmmm, wouldn't I love to make it to London then though...

FATE WHY DO YOU CONSPIRE AGAINST US.

However, SARAH WHY DO YOU REWRITE THE END OF YOUR BOOK WHEN I CAN'T READ THE NEW BITS FOR ANOTHER SIX MONTHS, is what I really want to know. *sobs*

And I have already ordered my copy, as well as one for my sister, of ARROW and they should arrive next week! *squee*

And the other signing isn't at Waterstone's apparently, it's at Blackwell's (which seems to be practically next door to Foyle's, so I find this rather confusing!?) at 1:30 p.m.
It's not listed on the Blackwell's website either.
