Caution: Bad Pun

This was my husband's thoughtful remark after seeing all four episodes of the very odd, very Buddhist Fifth Doctor story Kinda:

"I hope the Kinda don't lay eggs."

Ba-DUMP.

(But if they did, I bet the toys would be really cool, once you regained your sanity enough to play with them.)

ETA: Oh, you don't have them in the States! That's so sad! Evil overprotective government.

It was only on the second reading that I got the pun. I must be feeling a bit dense this morning.

... I've read this entry at least three times today and whether I pronounce "Kinda" with a short "i" or a long "i", I still don't get it.

It's a short "i". And here are your Kinda Eggs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinder_Surprise).

Ah, now I get it!

Ohhhh! I didn't get it either, probably because they're called "Kinder Surprise" here, and not "Kinder Eggs".

I think that old monster Ferrero (the founder of the company) would feel proud if he knew that his products are producing cause for puns as far afield as your home.
