So help me...

I may have drifted out of active Kalan Porter fandom, but nearly a year after 219 Days came out I still find "Single" massively groovy and am not tired of it yet. Yeah, I know, blah blah stupid lyrics whatever. It's still catchy, IMO.

A few other songs which I am not tired of yet, in spite of the fact that I have heard them approximately 1,000,000 times and I know a lot of other people who can't stand them:

  • "True" by Spandau Ballet (not that I actively seek this one out or anything, but I never cringe when it comes on the radio)
  • "One Thing Leads To Another" by The Fixx
  • "Promises, Promises" by Naked Eyes
  • "Is There Something I Should Know?" by Duran Duran

    We all have our weaknesses.

Ohh, thank you for reminding me of "Promises, Promises." Must download that one. I did download "True" just last week. I never tire of hearing that one.

Hee! I started singing along with every single one of those. (Well, except the Kalan Porter one, as I've not heard it.)

I totally adore "True." I hated that P.M. Dawn song that used it as a sample because I always thought it was going to be "True" and then it wasn't.

Most Spandau Ballet songs just do not stand the test of time, as I found to my chagrin when I bought a "Best of" compilation a few years ago. But "True" will always be a darn good song.

Oh, and since we seem to have similar tastes in music: Single (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=29HP7FL0).

These are not weaknesses...these are classics! Classics, I tell you!
