O IM Buddies, Where Art Thou?
I have TEH NEWS to impart. Don't get too excited, mind you -- it's not about the book, it's just about the baby (heh, just).
I shall be on around 9 p.m. EST tonight. Page me!
P.S. Somebody tried to page me and I accidentally rejected you while in the middle of typing something else. Didn't even get to glimpse the name. Try again?

So "Kalan" is out of the question, but what about Caelan?no subject
not in your lifetime, tootsalas, I think not. :D Even if I were sold on the name, my husband would never go for it... he's more of a traditional type. I long ago reconciled myself to the fact that I would never be able to name a daughter Taryn, either...no subject
But it is a traditional name! traditional Welsh, anyhow. I say you push this angle.no subject
OMG YOU SHOULD HAVE PUT THAT UNDER A CUT TAG BECAUSE THAT WAS A SPOILER YOU INSENSITIVE JERK!!!Oops, never mind, I thought for a minute I was posting onI am all about the Welsh names, myself. *sighs wistfully* But I'm not too worried, hubby and I have always had little difficulty agreeing on boys' names we liked -- it was always girls' names that were the problem. Nothing settled yet, but I'm sure we'll find something decent.

HA! *facepalms and feels the wrath of modly!Syn (who is greatly missed, by the way...)*I'm sure you will, too. Promise me that you'll avoid doing the hip thing and giving your boys normal names with weird spellings though, okay? (Mothers who name their boys "Arron" and "Sheaun", I'm looking at you.
watch one of the aforementioned names be one of your children's names. Just my luck!)no subject

I think it probably involves a handkerchief and a lot of phlegm...

Congrats! (And I had a friend named Taryn once. She was from Australia, and for her birthday my mother painted her name on a necklace because it was so hard to find personalized things with her name on it. It made her very happy.)
