I have soooooooooooooooooo much stuff to do in the next few days. However, sometimes brilliance just drops into your lap and you have to share it.

One: Freelancer's Music Videos has updated again, and she has done a wonderful Snape vid to Simon & Garfunkel's "I Am A Rock".

Two: [livejournal.com profile] kerravonsen wrote a Doctor Who / Scarecrow and Mrs. King crossover drabble. No, really. I am grinning all over my face right now.

Three: If you haven't seen Spiderman 2, and have even the slightest interest in doing so, get thee to a movie theatre, now. I've never seen such a perfect marriage of "chick flick" (well-developed characters, clever dialogue, angst, wit and romance) and "guy flick" (action/adventure, suspense, jaw-dropping special effects and Stuff Blowing Up) in a single film.

And now I'm off to bed before I fall over.

And Ock is a hottie.

Oddly enough, I have to say that I did rather like Doc Ock. But then, I've always liked guys who are just a bit pudgy.

And yeah, that movie ruled!

And now I am grinning all over my face! Squee!

To top it off, I have just gotten back from seeing Spiderman 2 myself. It was, indeed, both completely angsty and full of action. Go Mary-Jane! And I agree that the guy playing Dr. Octopus was very good. And SFX-wise, those octopus arms were way cool. And of course Spidey was way cool too.

Question for you. Did you like the first Spiderman? I keep hearing rave reviews of Spiderman 2, but I loathed Spiderman 1 while most of the rest of the world seemed to like it so I'm sitting here torn about whether I should go and see the second one because everyone's saying how good it is. BUT everyone said the first one was good too and I didn't like the first one. So, I'm just curious and trying to decide if it's worth my time and money!

Thanks so much for letting us know about the Dr. Who/Amanda King ficlet. Scarecrow and Mrs. King was my first adult obsession and I was pleasantly surprised to see that it held up well over the years when I rewatched the series a couple of years ago on PAX. And I can just see Amanda traveling with the Doctor. Now I want a whole story!

And I ditto your comments on Spiderman 2. It was a very "adult" movie--in the good sense. Wonderful acting, lovely angst, good action sequences, and something to think about. I even loved how the opening credits reviewed the first movie in a non-condescending way.

I wasn't a tremendous fan of Spiderman 1 either. I watched it for fun, after it had come out of HBO, and didn't regret it, but I hardly thought about it again. Except about MJ's hair. It still looks really unnatural to me -- bugged me for a couple of days when I'd hear someone talking about the movie.

I LOVED #2. much much much better.

Am inexplicably reminded of the cut scenes from Galaxy Quest, with Rickman doing the "I am a rock" Method Acting Routine.

*boggles*

So, guess whose birthday fic has been saved from cybernetic oblivion...?
