Like C.S. Lewis said, "You can't get a cup of tea large enough to suit me..."

Now that is a cup for tea. Was that stolen from a giant?

Mmm, that looks so good! I love to bake, especially cakes, so I may have to try making this. :D Where's the best place to get your hands on saffron?

(Also, so cool to "meet" you, if not face-to-face, than through YouTube. :) I've become a recent convert to your stories, largely due to the influence of [livejournal.com profile] cirtholien. Love your books!)

hmmm

You are an interesting person to listen to. I have a friend (about 15 years my senior) who reminds me of you. She is also a creative person who writes and surrounds herself with specifically chosen delights. If she eats it, it's because the flavor is something she enjoys, if she listens to it, it must be inspiring, if she puts it in her home, it must fit in with her quaint sensibilities. It's not for show, it's for pleasure. I actually think she would likely enjoy reading your books. Of course, I need to read one first!

I'd be coveting your tea cup, if I didn't know coveting was to be resisted! ;)

I was very disappointed in the saffron buns bought in St. Ives a few years ago, and the fact that you say you can *see* saffron threads in the cake reinforces my feeling that the bakeries just weren't using enough saffron. Understandable, but still disappointing.

Cute video, though I am having a hard time understanding how any cake could be said to taste like medicine. It doesn't look like medicine; it looks delicious! And hurray for Cornwall! Deirdrej and I have fond memories of a family vacation there when we were teenagers.

Oh, and I agree with asphodeline. That is by far the biggest mug I have ever seen. I thought I owned some big ones, but they don't compare.
