Five was "my Doctor" growing up, and I agree very much with your comments comparing Eleven to Five. I am very interested to see the rest of the season and how it goes. I do enjoy seeing the Doctor as an emotional being, and the ups and downs and darks and brights, and so far with Eleven it's been hitting a very good balance for me.
And I think Amy is my favorite companion since Nyssa.
