LOST Finale

MY HEAD!!!! MY HEAD!!!!

*collapses*

I can't take this anymore.

Please don't let poor sweet Desmond be dead!

It's LOST. He's probably still there.

I'm also crossing my fingers on Eko, though Locke has been annoying me for the last little while and I think it would be some sort of cosmic justice that he paid the price for his polarized thinking. I wonder how much of an electromagnetic burst a human being can withstand?

I adored Locke in the first season, but this season I'm entirely in sympathy with Terry O'Quinn's lament that he's just not the same guy he used to be. At this point it doesn't really matter that much to me whether he's alive or dead. And to my mild surprise I've discovered that Eko's fate doesn't matter that much to me, either. I really loved him at first, but his character hasn't been working nearly so well for me lately.

I'm impressed you're still keeping up with it. I adored Lost for S1 but just couldn't get back into it for S2. Still read the recaplets over at TWoP just to see what's going on though.

Hopefully he was protected by the little crawl space. *keeps fingers crossed*

I thought Desmond was a goner for sure, until we saw his girl at the end. And I really hope that Locke and Eco are both still alive because I'm getting really tired of them killing people. I relate this strangely to baseball. Several years ago, my then 11 yos got into the Braves. We all watched for about two seasons, until you no longer knew who the players were. Now, about the only people still on the team from back then are the radio announcers!

I think TV writers are forgetting that for many of us, even if we don't really like someone, we aren't going to invest much loyalty in a show if there is a constant possibility that regulars can disappear.
