"Let me guess," said Cuddy, not even bothering to look up as House walked in. "Eliza Doolittle's gone missing and now you don't know where your slippers are."
The House/Cuddy interaction was sheer brilliance! Your House and Wilson have the perfect junior-high-ish relationship, and I love the reason that Cameron was being mysterious. I could sense House's anxiety when he found her drawer empty.
"Where's. My. Coffee?"
Hot. Altogether hot (no pun intended) and also the perfect way for House to approach her.
Your medical mystery was very well done. Honestly, I usually skip over all the medical stuff to get to the character stuff, but you worked it in so well that it was quite compelling. And I love when Cameron solves the case.
"I know. But --" and now he could hear a note of anxiety in her voice, an echo of the old Cameron, so pathetically eager to please -- "what do you think?"
Definitely a nice echo of Cameron past.
The banter at the end was very well done, lightening the significance of the moment while keeping the tension thick.
