(no subject)

From a conversation at the breakfast table this morning:

ME: Do you know what we're going to do today, Nicholas? We're going to go to the Early Years Centre.
NICHOLAS: The place with all the toys?
ME: Yes.
NICHOLAS: They have baby toys for Simon that he can play with.
ME: That's right, they do.
NICHOLAS: And they have toys for boys. They have an oven...
ME: [waiting, amused]
NICHOLAS: ...and a vacuum... and an iron...
ME: [expecting the trucks and trains any minute]
NICHOLAS: ...and a cart with a dolly in it.

I had nothing to do with this, I swear. But if he keeps this up, his future wife is going to love me.
