And at least my Snape's only sappy in writing. Well, and a bit in bed. And at the end of the first chapter of IWS, which makes me cringe every time I read it. But otherwise... :)

I bet Snape uses confiscated romance novels to fuel his fireplace at Hogwarts. Doesn't that sound like something he'd do?

*sniffs* But ... but ... I like Snape/Lily -- at least unrequited Snape/Lily (requited Snape/Lily seems improbable beyond belief to me). I think it's because a) I'm a sucker for unrequited love stories, b) I love to wallow in angst with a happy ending and c) it's the most logical explination for why Snape dislikes James as much as he does -- I don't buy Quidditch.

And yes, I can see Snape tossing romance novels into a fire -- in front of the student he confiscated it from.

I am reading lizbee's very well-written and actually quite plausible Snape/Lily fic. That's as far as I'm prepared to go right now. :)
