Let me refresh your memory of the entire sentence which you are subsetting. "I refer you to the discussion of women's appropriate roles in "That Hideous Strength", in which it is said in so many words that birth control is a tool of Satan."

Now. I am saying that the discussion of women's appropriate roles in *That Hideous Strength* is stodgy, misogynistic, and prudish. I adduce birth control as one example of this. In my further posting, I referred to Lewis's insistence that the only appropriate role for a married woman is as mother. I find the scene in which Jane is dressed to seduce her husband deeply creepy. I find the book *That Hideous Strength*, which was written by a Protestant, creepy and misogynist. This has absolutely nothing to do with the Catholic Church.

I have nowhere made any of the general statements of which you are accusing me. I made a narrowly specified argument, which you chose to broaden.
