Congratulations, [livejournal.com profile] peacockharpy!

Apparently PH's little "Megapixel" was born on Wednesday night after a very long induced labour (two days of pitocin -- yikes!), is beautiful and calm, and has two-toned hair -- black with blonde highlights (!). Mother and baby both doing well by all reports. Yay!

Oog, pitocin. I get shivers up my spine just thinking about that stuff. And not in a good way. Fortunately I've never had to experience it -- and hopefully I never will.

How long was your labour, then?

I went in on Wednesday evening and Liam was born on Friday night, so almost exactly two days. I think of it as three days, only because I spent the better part of Wednesday worrying myself sick...the pushing bit, I believe was 45 minutes...and the epidural was not what I expected it to be at all. And then, when my son was born...I had had my glasses off for two days, and for a few minutes, no one could find them, and I couldn't even *see* him...It was a bit of an emotional time, right? ;-)
