EEEEEEEEE!!!!!! (a.k.a. Yet Another Canadian Idol Entry)

Best. Group Sing. EVER.*

Six talented kids (oh, all right, contestants -- admittedly Jason looks about 40), six instruments, and the "Canadian Railroad Trilogy". With Gordon Lightfoot beaming approval in the audience.

Go on.** You know you want to. It's worth it even just for the musical "duel" between Kalan and Jacob near the end. Man, that kid can play fiddle. And Jacob's not bad with his guitar either.

My love for this show knows no bounds. Even though Elena got booted this week after giving one of her best performances ever, and I cannot, for the life of me, understand why Jason's dimply, grinning mug is still there... he'd just better not make it into the Top 3, is all I can say. Because that would be all kinds of wrong.

Agreed, last night was brilliant!

I also agree that it would be wrong, wrong, wrong if Jason makes it to the top 3. Very wrong, indeed. He comes across to me as very smarmy and full of himself. And he looks so fake sometimes.

Gordon Lightfoot's music was a great theme for the show. Wow, wasn't Theresa's performance this week just amazing? I love that song and she sang it brilliantly.

Is it just me, or does Jason have this pseudo-country thing going on? Not to mention the smarmy fakeness -- maybe he's been taking lessons from Ben.

And thanks for the link, RJ -- that was definitely cool.

Oh, I know. A guy I know (who is by no means a wimpy emotional type) wrote to tell me that he was so moved by Theresa's performance, he cried. For me, though, it was Shane who stole the evening. I had chills up my spine when he sang, and I still get them every time I listen to that performance. Never thought I'd say that about Shane.

Thank you, RJ. I somehow missed taping the very beginning of the show (aka The Best Part!!) and had no idea where to even start looking for it online.
